Artesania – Botter Zuiderzee. 1912 Botter from the Isle of Marken. A typical Dutch Fishing Boat which for many centuries sailed the Auiderzee, later called the Ljsselmeer. The crew of between 2 and 4 men, used to keep the catches alive in a wet well located in the center of the ship. An association for Botter preservation keeps several of them in their original state.
