Artesania – “Sultan” Arab Dhow A traditional Sailing Ship used along the coasts of the Arabian Peninsula, India and East of Africa. Up to the 1960’s Dhows made their commercial journeys from the Persian Gulf to East Africa using only sails as a means of propulsion. Kit construction is by false keel and frames. The replica contains a set of pre-cut timber parts by high precision laser, wood, brass and cast metal parts, timber veneers, high-quality brass parts which have been photo-engraved, sails hand-sewn and ready to be fitted, rigging cord and a stand to display the model when finished.
