Description The NYOrtho ZERO-G Boot™ is a heel protector boot designed to suspend the heel and eliminate pressure, friction, and shear during extended periods of immobility. Its offloading design creates an air cavity beneath the heel to help protect fragile skin and support pressure injury prevention. Features Extended, cushioned design suspends the heel over an air cavity for zero heel pressure and improved air circulation. Super-soft, antimicrobial velvet fabric helps protect fragile skin while reducing friction and shear. Removable gel pack may be used to further reduce pressure beneath the ankle and help keep the foot cool (FA-GEL-4×8). Foam-cushioned sides help protect the medial and lateral malleoli (ankle bony prominences). Adaptable strap system allows the boot to be secured in two alternate positions; lower position helps control dorsiflexion. Padded hook-and-loop closures allow easy application and removal while helping eliminate pressure across the top of the foot. Measure the circumference of the lower part of the calf muscle for proper fit. Machine Washable Meets CA 117 flammability requirements. Independent laboratory testing showed effective heel offloading, with PicoPress pressure measurements averaging 0.67 mmHg, and stable temperature and humidity at the skin–device interface during extended use.
