Description Documents Specifications Description Sanuvox HRV8-GX UV Residential Air Purifier ( Effective up to 4000 sq. ft. homes ) The Sanuvox HRV UV air purifier is specifically designed to be connected to the “fresh air to inside” round duct of an HRV or ERV. With a powerful 10.5” UV-C / UV-V germicidal / oxidizing lamp, the patented Sanuvox process will destroy chemical and biological contaminants, as well as odours throughout your home. IMPORTANT: Must be wired to 120 volts constant power. Installation Instructions Materials Furnished: One 10.5” UV lamp P/N: LMPHGXJ105, One HRV8-GX Sanuvox Air Purifier, Yellow Date Sticker, Instructions. Materials NOT Furnished: metal hanging straps, 8” to 6” reducers (if required),120 volt power plug, power cable. Carefully inspect the UV lamp for damage and ensure the lamp seal is not broken. Refrain from touching the glass. Handle lamp by the Porcelain end caps. Note ballast is pre-set for 120 volts. To set ballast to 220 volts, you will need to move the sliding switch on ballast to 220 volts. Carefully install the UV lamp inside the unit, following the proper air flow. As per drawing within instructions. Connector end will be held by clamp. Attach plastic power connector over lamp pins. Determine optimal mounting location. Connect to the interior “fresh air to home” non-insulated 6” or 8” ducting. Suspend the air purifier with field supplied metal strapping. For existing 6” HRV ducting, install field supplied 8” to 6” reducers on each end of the air purifier. For existing 8” HRV ducting, attach ducting directly to the air purifier. Duct tape both ends securely. Note UV rays will destroy plastic materials. If the flex ducting is lined on the inside wall with plastic, you must shield the plastic with aluminum tape. Connect a field supplied power plug (straight blade, residential grade,15 amp,120 volt, 2-Wire, polarized, non-grounding). CAUTION: NEVER EXPOSE EYES OR SKIN TO UV LIGHT. Apply power, both LED lights will be lit. Green light = ballast. Red light = UV lamp Affix yellow sticker to air purifier, indicating installation date and replacement dates. Replace lamp every 3 years, for optimal performance replace lamp every 2 years.
